I’m Stephanie Evergreen and, among other things, I lead the Potent Presentations Initiative (p2i), which is a program sponsored by AEA to help you make awesome presentations. Naturally, my sweet spot is the annual conference.
You have probably noticed, in the last few months, we’ve been sending you all sorts of advice about how to make your presentations more potent by focusing on three things: message, design, and delivery. Now we’re on site in Minneapolis to get into a bit more detail.
If you are also with us at the annual conference, join our p2i events. We’re hosting a Slide Clinic to give one-on-one slide advice, presenting a talk each on Message, Design, and Delivery, and sharing our research poster on how to make great research posters.
Hot Tip: Also be sure to check out Rodney Hopson’s keynote address Wednesday afternoon – his slides are potent.
Rad Resources: If you can’t make it to the conference this year, you can still play along at home. We have just posted a modified, annotated slide deck and an accompanying handout for each of the three main p2i talks. Check out what we’ll be saying on Wednesday about Message and on Thursday about Design and Delivery. And though it doesn’t compare to seeing the real thing, you can also view our research poster and learn about the design decisions we made in constructing it.
