Hello Readers! Sheila B Robinson here, in my role as Lead Curator for our association blog, sometimes Saturday contributor, AND member of the AEA Professional Development Working Group (PDWG).
Lesson Learned: High quality professional development is essential.
My first experiences with professional development happened more years ago than I care to admit. But, because many of those opportunities were relevant, timely, and presented by competent, engaging instructors, some of the learning and new skills I acquired both informed, impacted and shaped my career in substantial ways and thus have stayed with me throughout my career.
Get Involved: The PDWG has been working hard to get high quality online PD in the pipeline and out to our members, and we want to continue to fill the calendar with a range of opportunities that are relevant, timely, and presented by competent, engaging instructors. ?
That said, we would love your input on the topics or speakers you would like to see!

It’s OK to list any evaluation-related topic you’re interested in learning, and it’s OK to list any speaker you would like to see as an instructor. Adding your name and email address is optional. And you may submit more than one form if you have more than 5 ideas for either topics or speakers.
Hot Tip: If YOU have a topic you are interested in teaching, feel free to list yourself!

Thank you for the post, Shelia. I put in a shout out on the survey for the University-Based evaluation Centers (UBC) TIG to share their experiences. A fairly new TIG we have continued to meet during this pandemic via Zoom. We are interested in learning and sharing experiences working as evaluators in centers on university campuses.
