Sharon Jones-Viera on Finding the aea365 Archive

I’m Sharon Jones-Viera and I subscribed to aea365 back in March. I’m hooked. And, I didn’t know that there was lots more to be had.

Hot Tip: There are over 500 past daily alerts in the aea365 archive.

I didn’t realize this. I signed up to get aea365 via email and was happy to have a bit of evaluation inspiration in my in box each morning. I clicked back through on the heading for one item in my aea365 mail and got to the aea365 website. I didn’t know there was an aea365 website. I realize that perhaps I should have – I’ve read the email footer that encourages me to add comments on the aea365 webpage, but I didn’t realize that there was an entire site. And the site has all 500+ aea365 posts contributed to date.

Hot Tip: aea365 posts are indexed by AEA’s Topical Interest Groups

On the aea365 homepage at http://aea365.org/blog/, about halfway down the right side, you’ll see a listing of  “Posts Related to AEA Topical Interest Groups.” The groups focus on things like Health Evaluation, Quantitative Methods, Data Visualization, and Evaluation Use. Clicking on any of these shows you all of the posts that have been tagged for that Topical Interest Group. There is also a number next to each group listing that shows how many are tagged for that group. This was a good way to identify a subset of the 500 posts that were related to my work.

That’s all for today. I can’t tell you how excited I was to find the archive and I thought that I would share just in case others were not catching on to this great treasure trove ready for reading. Thanks to everyone who has written for aea365 so far. Keep up the good work!

Oh and Hot Tip – there are Contribution Guidelines on the site as well!

  1. Sharon, thanks for the shout-out for aea365’s archive! I go through it sometimes to catch any that I missed when traveling.
